Livingston Shares the Heart and Vision Behind “A Hometown Odyssey (The Story Continues)”

Livingston revealed details about his latest album, A Hometown Odyssey (The Story Continues), and his upcoming 2025 tour at a virtual press conference on Wednesday, March 5. The album and tour had previously been announced on his Instagram (@livingston) in January. The release serves as the deluxe edition of his debut album, featuring nine additional tracks that continue the deeply personal and cinematic journey he began with A Hometown Odyssey in 2024.

During the virtual event, Livingston reflected on the album’s creative process and its significance in his musical evolution. When asked by The Music Box Media what song from the album represents a major turning point in his life, he highlighted Nightlight as the most profound track. “‘Nightlight’ is probably the most profound one on there for me because it's a song that just no matter what kind of mood I'm in, when I hear it, it just makes me feel that awe and wonder again, like the first time that I heard my favorite song or watched my favorite movie,” Livingston said. “You know that feeling in your chest, like when you are kind of transported back in time to something simpler? That's something that that song does for me, and that's also the moment where I discovered music.” He emphasized his excitement for the song, adding, “So yeah, that one I am really, really excited about.”

Attendees at the press conference were given an exclusive preview of “Nightlight,” a track that exemplifies Livingston’s signature blend of emotive storytelling and soaring melodies.

In addition to discussing his new music, Livingston reaffirmed his plans for the A Hometown Odyssey 2025 Tour, which will take him across North America, beginning May 6 in Phoenix and concluding June 12 in Los Angeles. With stops in major cities such as New York, Toronto, Portland and Seattle, the tour will give fans the chance to experience his latest work live.

From his humble beginnings in Denton, Texas, to signing with Republic Records and selling out international tours, Livingston continues to establish himself in the music industry. His ability to connect with audiences through deeply personal lyrics and cinematic soundscapes sets him apart in the alternative pop scene. A Hometown Odyssey (The Story Continues) expands on the themes of his previous work and reinforces his reputation as a storyteller who captures the complexities of youth, nostalgia and self-discovery.

With “Nightlight” as a personal highlight and a fresh tour on the horizon, Livingston is proving that his journey is far from over. Fans can expect an unforgettable experience both in his recorded music and on stage throughout 2025.
