Beach Bunny: Big Pink Bubble of Vibes!
April 13, 2025 - Charlottesville, VA
The city of Charlottesville, Virginia was treated to a unique night of pastel and pink colors, dancing, and vibrant vibes, all brought by the one-of-a-kind band, Beach Bunny! With their anticipated upcoming album, Tunnel Vision, releasing next Friday, April 25, 2025, a tour like this was the perfect way to show off everything the band has been working on. Did they deliver? The short answer is yes, absolutely. The long answer is below.

Attending a sold out show is always fun, but this was no ordinary sold out show. The amount of fans wearing bunny ears, glitter, and pink, were more than enough proof that this would be something special. The pit filled quickly, and each row of the beautiful upper level balcony was also full. The opening act, Pool Kids, brought a familiar but ecstatic set of songs and dancing, exactly what everyone needed to properly hype up before the show began.

The stage was quickly decorated with a backdrop of a window, a bed, balloons, and a drum set, all coated in pink and purple. Shortly after Pool Kids finished, Beach Bunny took the stage. Jon Alvarado, Anthony Vaccaro, and finally, Lili Trifilio, all took to the stage, and began the night with a fan favorite, “Cloud 9”. The whole room was immediately illuminated with bright, colorful lights, as well as incredible vocals, delivered by Lili.
Lili Trifilio, the vocalist and frontwoman of Beach Bunny, was a delightful part of the evening. The way she moved around the stage with her sparkly pink guitar, interacting with many fans above and below, it was clear that she was just as excited to be there as everyone else, if not more so. While many people were surely there to hear the hits, many unreleased songs, which will be featured on Tunnel Vision, were played. This included “Mr. Predictable,” “Big Pink Bubble,” and “Just Around the Corner,” which were all a welcome addition.

The band was lively throughout the duration, which was highlighted by the numerous stage lights, all bright and fun! I always love when a band is interactive with the crowd, and Beach Bunny delivered in this field. Lili created a mosh pit two or three times, which was the last thing I expected to see at a Beach Bunny concert. And yet, it worked fittingly well! The encore eventually rolled around, which began with a beautiful electric-acoustic solo of “6 Weeks,” performed in a solo by Lili.

Beach Bunny has quite a few hits under their belt, “Prom Queen” being their most popular, currently sitting at nearly 700,000,000 streams on Spotify. As the time came to play this song, a fan near the front row gave Lili a white sash, which fittingly read “Prom Queen”. She wore it as she concluded the setlist with “Prom Queen” and “Painkiller,” giving everyone in attendance a night to remember.
