Brighton Duo Hell Hotel Take Things to Another Level With Explosive New Single “Sweetness”
Following the success of their previous singles, emo power duo Hell Hotel unleash their brand-new single “Sweetness” ahead of what is set to be a big few months for the fast-rising band. Bursting onto the scene last year with debut single “Smile,” they’ve already achieved a lot, including radio play on BBC Radio 1 and appearances in some of London’s iconic venues like Scala, Garage and The Underworld.
“Sweetness” takes things to another level and is already a standout favorite in what has been a spectacular start to their musical career. The contrasting vocals bring such an electrifying feel to this track—it immediately gives off strong Hot Milk vibes. The clean vocals from lead singer Demi Jay paired with the sharp, piercing screams of Tom Marfield go hand in hand, and the pair bounce off each other perfectly. From start to finish, the single has a gripping energy that carries throughout, with some seriously strong riffs that blow things apart in the best way.
“Sweetness” delves into themes of frustration and inner conflict following the collapse of a relationship, capturing the protagonist’s numbness in response to the severity of the pain. The single also comes with a brand-new music video, which can be found below.
Hell Hotel continue to prove they’re on the rise, and they’re deservedly receiving more and more attention. The hype keeps growing—each single goes from strength to strength—and they are rightly one of the bands to watch in 2025.
