Tess Becket Lets Out Her Rage on New Single "Drink"

"Drink" starts out mellow, but as it builds, it's like an emotional punch to the gut.

The song chronicles the feeling of looking for an outlet, something to take away the memories and pain. A lot of people resort to drinking-- But Tess doesn't drink due to a chronic illness and history with family dependency. That piece of information is important because in the chorus, she sings, "I don’t drink / But you make me think about it / Dreaming of release / Crawling back to leave / Can’t find any peace without this / And I need relief."

The hurt is so extraordinary she begins to consider crossing a line that she's set for herself, and that's a very powerful message. You can feel the turmoil she goes through as the song progresses. It's an extraordinary single with a compelling energy that is sure to keep you hooked. It's out now on all streaming services, and you can also find it on our "Hot New Noise" playlist!
