Hot Milk announce new album ‘Corporation P.O.P’ plus new video for ’90 Seconds to Midnight’ featuring Frank Skinner

The next chapter Manchester’s Hot Milk begins now with the big announcement of album number two Corporation P.O.P that is set to be released via Music for Nations on the 27th June 2025. The announcement comes with a brand new explosive single “90 Minutes to Midnight” with a music video featuring Frank Skinner.

The new single kicks off in strong fashion and instantly grips you from the get-go. It has everything you expect from a Hot Milk song, it’s in your face, it’s heavy, and it tells a story. Both vocals from Han & Jim are on another level and it’s clear to see the stage this band are stepping things up even further on this record.

"The doomsday clock is nearing midnight, and this frantic song sets the mood for the oncoming nuclear winter," says singer Han Mee.  "We wanted to punch you proper in the face with this, this balls to the wall little riffy boy comes bounding at you relentlessly. Lyrically we took inspiration from 17th century philosopher Rousseau and the poet John Betjemen with his poem Slough.  Rousseau set out that humanity would never be free as we create our own shackles. In this case, we’ve created our own demise. Where as Betjemens poem takes this notion of demise and laughs at it, inviting the nukes in “come friendly bombs”…. Let’s set the gaff on fire and start again."

The music video is shot by the bands long term friend Kennedy in the backstreets of Salford with the added surprise of a guest appearance from Frank Skinner. His history in previous music videos & writing Three Lions was the perfect fit for him to slot in the grey surroundings of Salford.

The album was written and recorded both in their Salford flat and a live room in LA, producing songs that capture that live energy they are known for, with new tracks are poised for stages the world over.

"We wanted to bring it home on this record, shooting videos/photos in our backyards and out and about in Salford. This is about us, so visually it should be about us too.  Written in northern Hollywood and a bedroom in Salford opposite an Aldi, this is a true juxtaposition of an album," says Han Mee

The band will hit the road across the UK playing some new and intimate club sized venues this spring before heading off to the US to complete the run. Over the summer they will also embark on a run of festivals including two headline slots at Slam Dunk Festival.
